News from Andy
Hello to everyone,
I am alive and well (other than the pains in head, neck and back from my crash-landing while sandboarding a few days ago) in Arequipa, Peru, near the southern border with Chile. I'm staying here to do a trek of the Colca Canyon for 4 days (deepest canyon in the world at twice the depth of the Grand Canyon), and probably some mountain biking on the El Misti volcano that towers over the "white city", so named from the color of the volcanic stone used to build much of the center.
I had camera problems until I bought a new one yesterday, so you'll get more photos from here on out. It feels good to be back on the road again. I'm hoping for a very productive trip, especially when I get to La Paz, Bolivia and do some volunteering for kids there.
Feel free to write news from home. I'll answer anyone who writes. And also feel free to make comments on my blog. It's nice to know someone is reading it.
God bless,
Andrew
