L'Orca on Friendship
Dear Friends,
This First week of July was a very short but intense week. We had Matthew's and Jeannie’s party on Monday, Anthony’s on Friday and "Italy winning the World Cup Pizza Pool Party" on Sunday (there was no pizza though!). To me this was a great week to tighten up our friendship. Yes, because I do believe in Friendship and I would like this blog to be the expression of the most colourful group of friends in Cleveland. Well, if Cleveland does not really rock we will make it rock!
Matt's and Jeannie's party was great. It did rain for a while but the group was great and the place where you live guys is really great for BBQ + sipping wine in good company. There was a massive participation of Italians and the pleasant arrival of new friends (welcome David!) that I hope we will have around for a while.
Great idea from Anthony to introduce his brother Christ and girlfriend Jenni to the group and to throw a party. My only suggestion is to ask you brother next time to keep the Snake Wine in Vietnam. That was really a catastrophe for me and, I think, for each of those who drank it in a massive quantity, as I did. Jenni was a nice surprise to all of us and I hope we will see her back in Cleveland soon. For those who want to know more about her you can check her blog at http://unavocejjj.blogspot.com
As far as the World Cup, guys, I have never felt as proud to be Italian as I was Sunday, the day we won. And, you know, at this point I am not only Italian but also 30 percent American and 30 percent Canadian so it was particularly interesting to feel so Italian, for a while. The party ended at my pool and the supposed to be BBQ turned into Pizza Party, ended up in a Tiramisu Party, thanks to Adriano, who brought his famous and delicious cake. Thanks man, it was great!
